Air Namibia will suspend operations between Windhoek and London Gatwick effective 03 June 2009. The last flights will be operated as follows:
• SW385/28MAY Windhoek – London Gatwick (last departure to the UK)
• SW386/29MAY London Gatwick – Windhoek (last departure from the UK)
The airline would like to stress that the London direct route has only been suspended, until further notice. It will continue to operate five flights per week from its well established primary European gateway in Frankfurt, offering broader flexibility and added benefits with increased regional feeder flights from the UK. Air Namibia will also continue to offer its connections to Namibia and other Southern Africa destinations like Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Although Air Namibia has suspended operations at London Gatwick, the airline wishes to assure all passengers and associates affected by this suspension that it will make every effort to offer alternatives for our valued customers. Air Namibia will also maintain its current presence in the UK via its local office and sales team for the future development of the UK market.
As part of managing the transition phase in adopting a new route network, Air Namibia has set up a dedicated team to manage all enquiries.
