Exploring the Winelands Of South Africa
During a visit to South Africa, you really must take a trip into the Winelands. This scenic area is only 45 minutes’ drive outside of Cape Town and consists of a collection of small towns, such as Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
The scenery is stunning, you could be in Europe with the rolling hills and lush countryside, combined with the Dutch Cape-style architecture.
Accommodation varies from private guesthouses, to upmarket five star hotels and chic boutique hotels.
The Spier Hotel is located on the outskirts of Stellenbosch and is a modern, cosmopolitan hotel. The hotel also has a superb restaurant, a spa and its own winery.
The whole resort is self sufficient, so for those guests who are not self driving, t
his hotel is ideal. Spier Restaurant is a favourite with those seeking superb cuisine and service.
South Africa is an ideal destination as it offers a bit of everything – after a trip to the winelands why not head on for a safari in Kruger or the malaria-free Eastern Cape to see the Big Five of elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo.
