Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve

Tswalu Kalahari is South Africa’s largest private game reserve, covering an area of over 100,000 hectares in the “Green Kalahari” of the Northern Cape.
With the emphasis on conversation tourism, Tswalu is able to offer superlative game and sightings of some of South Africa‘s rarest and most extraordinary wildlife, including the desert black rhino, black-maned Kalahari lions, meerkats, cheetah, rare antelope, and the elusive aardvark, aardwolf, pangolin and porcupine.
In the game reserve all guests are allowed to design their own itinerary from bush walks to horseback safaris. The safari experience is tailored to suit you.

I have just read a beautiful article on Tswalu’s website which shows the field guides up close to the elusive Pangolin. … an amazing site especially during the day as these animals are nocturnal.

The reserve also has an award winning spa, now a combination of sensual spaces which combine to create an inspirational venue for what must be one of the most unusual spa experiences in Africa. All guests can indulge in authentic massages and exfoliation treatments by the local therapists whether this is in the indoor spa or outside.

Tswalu Kalahari Spa has won the “Best Safari Spa Award” in the 2011 Les Nouvelles Esthétiques Spa Awards. Tswalu Spa Manager Corli Schoeman was even named runner up in the “Spa Management Excellence Award”. Here at Africa Sky we give them our Congratulations and hope this is the first award of many.
